My Story
Meet Jutta, The Natural Nutrition Coach
I’ve gained a diverse and wealth of experience during my 25+ year nutrition career that’s spanned the realms of clinical hospital dietetics, food industry, corporate health, schools and private practice settings; where I’ve performed the roles as an educator, leader, consultant, marketer, visionary, innovator, communicator and facilitator.
I’m an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Nutritionist, Western Medical Herbalist and Health and Wellness coach with an appetite for health that nourishes the body and nurtures the soul. I have a real passion for coaching people to have more life in their years and years in their life.
I’m unique in having expertise in both nutrition and herbal medicine, being dual qualified as an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Western Medical Herbalist along with being a health and wellness coach. Which means I can better help you with a customised nutrition plan to create ongoing healthy habits.
Along with my private practice where I see clients one on one, I also consult to the health and food industry where I strive to create a better food supply. I also deliver school and corporate health and wellness initiatives including dynamic presentations and workshops.
My Approach
In my one-on-one consultations I provide personalised nutrition, health and wellness plans that are achievable and flexible to help add years to your life and life to your years.
By combining evidenced based research with an individualised, practical and holistic approach that works in partnership with you, I aim to get you off the diet merry-go-round and into developing and achieving long term healthy habits.
Translating the science on nutrition I help you better understand what foods are right for your body and practical ways to meet your individual needs. Understanding that the body has an innate ability to heal itself, I utilise food as medicine and where appropriate the extension of this through herbal medicine to assist the body in nudging itself back to its healthy balanced state.
Food is more than just nutrients and pure fuel; it provides joy, ritual, pleasure and social connection. For optimal wellbeing I believe we need to honour both sides. I believe that creating a healthy you is about having a healthy relationship with food where you are able to trust in your body wisdom to eat and enjoy all food in the right amounts, as well as loving your body at its most healthy weight. I aim to help you achieve this.
Realistic and Practical
I’m real, authentic and practical. Not everyone is able to achieve the ‘ideal’ nor can anyone continuously achieve the ‘ideal’, no matter how determined they are. This is completely normal and ok!
I’m not about perfection but progress. I’m here to help you where-ever you are at and to keep you moving forward to wherever you want to go.
I’m rooted in evidenced based practice. As a nutrition scientist I have the expertise to understand the totality of evidence, both its strengths and limitations, not just cherry pick science to support a point of view typical of what most unqualified nutrition centred people do. I’m also informed and respect the traditional wisdom and usage of herbal medicines from different cultures throughout the centuries that supports a large part of evidence base of this discipline.
I’ve found the traditional approaches to medicine understand and appreciate the complexity of the bigger picture better and have a better hold on a ‘holistic approach’ to healthcare ie taking into account all of body systems including mind and body. They do not tend to focus on the one body system or symptom that is typical of modern medicine, but seek to understand the whole individual and explore more the underlying cause. I’ve come to appreciate and value this, and in doing so combine the best of both worlds in my approach to practice.

I understand that everyone is at a different place on their health journey. I tailor advice to fit with your lifestyle and work to help you understand and work around your barriers to change to help you move forward. My aim to inspire and empower you into turning the knowing into doing.
Healthy Weight
Many people think they need to lose weight to be healthy, when in fact the opposite is true. You need to be healthy to lose weight. The focus must be on health, not weight. And it must be in that order, otherwise the results will be short lived. The key is long-term healthy habits instead of short-term dieting.

Holistic - Natural Nutrition Coaching!
I offer both nutrition counselling services and specific health coaching services. The nutrition counselling services focus on increasing your food and nutrition knowledge, and also helping devise your own individualised eating plan. It aims to debunk food myths and confusion, and importantly help you create a healthy relationship with food, helping you to eat food in the right amounts.
